【摘要】:GeneralStandardsofEN50083seriesdealwithcablenetworksfortelevisionsignals,soundsignalsandinteractiveservicesincludingequipment,systemsandinstallations?forheadend-reception,processinganddistributionoftelevisionandsoundsignalsandtheirassociateddatasignals,and?forprocessing,interfacingandtransmittingallkindsofsignalsforinteractiveservicesusingallapplicabletransmissionmedia.Allkindsofnetworkslike?CATV-networks?MATV-networksandSMATV-networks?individualreceivingnetworksandallkindsofequipment,systemsandinstallationsinstalledinsuchnetworks,arewithinthisscope.Theextentofthesestandardisationworkisfromtheantennas,specialsignalsourceinputstotheheadendorotherinterfacepointstothenetworkuptothesystemoutletortheterminalinput,wherenosystemoutletexists.Thestandardisationofanyuserterminals(i.e.tuners,receivers,decoders,multimediaterminalsetc.)aswellasofanycoaxialandopticalcablesandaccessoriesthereforisexcluded.Specificscopeofthispart10Thisstandardisdealingwiththetransparentreturnpathofcablenetworksoperatedinthefrequencyrangebetween5MHzand65MHzorpartsthereof.Higherfrequenciesmaybeusedinfibrebasednetworks.NOTEInadditionitispossibletousethefrequencyrangefrom0MHzto5MHzforreturnpathtransmissions,e.g.forNMSorothercontrol,monitoringandsignallingpurposes.Applicationsbelow5MHzarenotcoveredbythisstandard.Anactivereturnpathcarriestypicallyonlyreturnsignals.Apassivereturnpathcanbeusedforbothreturnandforwardsignals.Thisstandardlaysdownthebasicmethodsofmeasurementforsignalstypicallyusedinthereturnpathofcablenetworksinordertoassesstheperformanceofthosesignalsandtheirperformancelimits.
