【摘要】:Thistestmethod,theForschungstellefrZhnrderundGetriebebau(ResearchSiteforGearsandTransmissions)VisualMethod,commonlyreferredtoastheFZGVisualMethod,isintendedtomeasurethescuffingloadcapacityofoilsusedtolubricatehardenedsteelgears.Scoring,aformofabrasivewear,isalsoincludedasafailurecriteriainthistestmethod.Itisprimarilyusedtoassesstheresistancetoscuffingofmildadditivetreatedoilssuchasindustrialgearoils,transmissionfluids,andhydraulicfluids.HighEPtypeoils,forexample,thoseoilsmeetingtherequirementsofAPIGL-4andGL-5,generallyexceedthecapacityofthetestrigand,therefore,cannotbedifferentiatedwiththistestmethod.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesinparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificsafetyinformation,seeSection7,Section8,9.2,and9.3.1.
