【摘要】:Separationandidentificationofadditivesusedinthemanufactureofpolyolefinplasticsisnecessaryinordertocorrelateperformancepropertieswithpolymercomposition.Thispracticeprovidesguidelinesforextractingphenolicantioxidants,phosphiteantioxidants,UVstabilizers,antistaticagents,andslipadditives,frommilledpolyolefinplastics.Waterbathshakersandsteam-refluxSoxhletextractiontechniqueshavealsobeenusedtosuccessfullyremoveadditivesfrompolyolefinplastics.1.1Thispracticecoversavarietyofextractiontechniquesforantioxidantandslipadditivesusedinpolyolefins.Typically,theextractedadditivesareseparatedandquantifiedusingachromatographictechniquesuchastheprocedureexplainedinTestMethodD6953.Chromatographicanalysisoftheextractsisnotincludedinthispractice.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note1ThereisnoknownISOequivalenttothisstandard.
