【摘要】:Thistestmethodmeasurestheabilityofcrankcaseoiltocontrolcamshaftlobewearforspark-ignitionenginesequippedwithanoverheadvalve-trainandslidingcamfollowers.Thistestmethodisdesignedtosimulateextendedengineidlingvehicleoperation.TheSequenceIVATestMethodusesaNissanKA24Eengine.Theprimaryresultiscamshaftlobewear(measuredatsevenlocationsaroundeachofthetwelvelobes).Secondaryresultsincludecamlobenosewearandmeasurementofironwearmetalconcentrationintheusedengineoil.Otherdeterminationssuchasfueldilutionofcrankcaseoil,non-ferrouswearmetalconcentrations,andtotaloilconsumption,canbeusefulintheassessmentofthevalidityofthetestresults.ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinotherunitsshallberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SeeAnnexA5forspecificsafetyprecautions.
